Undoubtedly the simplest e-commerce platform today, Shopify could be an Ottawa-based Canadian e-commerce company founded by, like many other businesses, individuals who tried something, did not catch on and decided to shape it and make use of it to the general public.
Shopify has climbed steadily over the years and it is impressive to purchase capital or, better still, other small business brands to further develop the company. “Whether you sell, on social media, future or out of the trunk of your car, Shopify has you covered “Whether you are selling, on social media, in the future or out of your car trunk, Shopify has you covered. “Shopify, the simplest place to sell online, in person, and anywhere in-between”
Neither does Shopify leave you hanging. The website hosts a podcast and, under the type of blog posts, uses many tools for business owners. You’re potentially going to be an associate, an investor, or someone who just follows the platform and won’t let you down.
Are you a new company and, thus, a general platform? To help you get your first offer, you get posts. Hey, are you an affiliate? You get the tools that you want to help you understand the site better and encourage it. Are you a highly educated entrepreneur with a lot of experience? Believe it, you’ve got Shopify secured.
But a platform like this has its drawbacks, particularly after the obvious rise of drop shipping in 2015 where it became flooded with people thinking that AliExpress outsourcing goods was an honest idea (although drop shipping has been here since people thought of selling stuff to other people) and everyone who failed called it a “Get rich quick” scheme, although Shopify app development cost has never p.

PLANS FOR SHOPIFY
Shopify has plans with features that fit any requirement one can receive. Generally, there are five Shopify plans available for them with unique features. Below, the plans and related characteristics are discussed;
THE SHOPIFY Strategy LITE
If you have a specific activity or service on your Facebook page and you have items that you can sell on your page, then this is always the strategy for you. It’s only limited to Facebook purchases and costs $9.
The simple SHOPIFY plan
This package costs $29 and has card rates of: 2.9 percent +30 for Canadian cards, 3.5 percent +30 for Amex or international cards, and two .7 percent +0 percent in-person card rates. There are no transaction fees for using Shopify payments as your payment gateway, but there is a transaction fee of two .0 percent for using external payment gateways.
You get these features with this plan: two (2) employee accounts, the ability to have a large range of items, a large amount of file space for storage, a $49 retail kit, a “good” Shopify shipping discount, printed shipping labels, 24/7 hour support, fraud analysis, the ability to manually position orders, discount codes, an internet site, and a blog, and finally a free SSL certificate. Features that you don’t get on this package include gift cards, technical reports, advanced cart recovery, advanced report maker, or estimated rates from third parties.
The SHOPIFY Strategy
This package costs $79 and has card rates of 2.7% +30 for Canadian cards, 3.4% +30 for Amex or international cards, and a rate of two .6% +0 for in-person cards. There are no transaction fees for using Shopify payments as your payment gateway, but there is a 1.0 percent transaction charge for using external payment gateways.
You get these features with this plan: five (5) employee accounts, the opportunity to have a large range of items, a large amount of file space to store, a $49 retail bundle, a “better” Shopify shipping discount (than the critical plan), printed shipping labels, 24/7 hour help, fraud analysis, manual purchasing control, discount codes, an internet site, and a blog, a free SSL certificate. Options you do not get on this package are estimated rates for the advanced report builder and third-party.
SHOPIFY Strategy ADVANCED
This package costs $299 with card rates of: 2.4% +30 for Canadian cards, 3.3% +30 for Amex or foreign cards, and 2.4% +0 for in-person card rates. There are no transaction fees (as usual) for using Shopify payments as your payment gateway, but a 0.5 percent transaction fee is paid for using external payment gateways.
Every role is made available to you in this plan. In particular, fifteen (15) employee accounts, the opportunity to provide a large range of items, a large amount of file space for storage, a $49 retail kit, the “best” Shopify shipping discount, printed shipping labels, 24/7 hour support, fraud analysis, manual purchasing control, discount codes, internet site, and blog, free SSL certificate, gift cards, technical reports, advanced cart reports.
The Shopify Plus Strategy
Shopify plus plan is the “custom” plan of Shopify. There is hardly any data about this plan except that you only get what you agree with Shopify about. They contact an affiliate or other Shopify affiliate brands if a company gets involved in the plan and they can submit/refer you to Shopify. After that, Shopify will call you and build a store to support the accepted requirements for you.
SHOPIFY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE With
My personal journey was really interesting with Shopify. I had some abandoned carts in my first week of opening my first two stores. Why the endless abandoned carts? You’re wondering! Since I could not get a payment processor while living in a Third World country, Nigeria. All excellent options needed that a company is registered (Until recently but just for new accounts). It’s unfortunate. So if you fail, it’s much easier to blame it on your nation rather than the platform. It’s like backlashing at Google because, for a strange name/word you were trying out, they did not have results.
My first store sold geek products, so the second store I’m still working on is selling Long Boards. Then I still can’t get a payment processor and have a large number of abandoned carts as I try to make it look attractive and trustworthy at the same time. I’ve never given up before!
So, I saved for the last the easiest. Shopify offers a free 14-day trial, after which you would need to shop for an idea to stay on the site unless you have a development store. And once a store is 14 days old, there is still no loophole; no matter if it was developed as a production store, you would still need to buy an idea. The only other choice is to introduce you as an employee and you will need to shop for an idea when the shop makes 50 orders, and then the shop will be handed to you. In addition, you will have the ability to use Shopify Experts to help you endorse what you decided on along with your store.
There’s no better platform to sell on than Shopify if you have a product, whether you have made it or had it made for you and would really like or are ready to launch.
