As the city is bound by the second spiral of the COVID-19 pandemic, this is a grim scene because we encounter so many people looking for oxygen cylinders or hospital beds, and other resources on social media every day. Learn how the gurudwara of neighbouring India’s Indirapuram, Ghaziabad came up with a way to help.

Not just traditional Langar | Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad and a non-governmental organization, Khalsa Help International, have taken a unique move to start providing free oxygen to those in need. Within a day, the service of “Oxygen Lange” attracted 700 visitors, who were submerged by the flood. Although the team did not provide gas cylinders for the family, patients can walk to Indirapuram gurdwara and use them until the oxygen level returns to normal without having to get out of the car. This service is available 24 hours a day, and when volunteers load equipment into their cars, there are often long lines of people and cars waiting for the free Oxygen Langar’s turn.

They have set up a helpline number (shown below), through which people can book their slot machines.
Gurdwara is also providing people with testing facilities and medicines.
